India is diverse enough for people to read what they want in it. Whatever is said to be true about India, the opposite of that is true also. It takes much experience (not to mention the ability to unlearn) to understand the many contradictions that make the Indian political sphere. A formal education is a big disadvantage. Which is why India’s educated middle class dislikes politics.
